Fans of Brandy and Monica have been bickering online all week over the perceived shade that has been going back and forth between the ladies the past few months. So much perceived shade, I don’t feel like even getting into all of it.
However, following Brandy being honored at Sunday’s Soul Train Awards with the ‘Lady of Soul‘ award, it looks like things are getting even hotter, and now Whitney Houston is being dragged into the mess.
After receiving her award, Brandy took to Instagram to reflect on her relationship with the iconic singer who took her under her wing over two decades ago. She shared the emotional snap below.
Some perceived the post to be shady due to a recent interview that Monica did on “Where Are They Now?” where the singer opened up about her relationship with Whitney.
We all know that Bran has long claimed Whitney as her fairy godmother, and Whit even played that role in the television adaptation of ‘Cinderella‘ which starred Brandy as the lead role.
Well some Monica fans got a little bothered by Brandy stating the facts, and took to Instagam to throw shade which prompted Bran’s mother Sonja Norwood to jump in.
Well after a few followers tried to come for Sonja, Brandy jumped back in the comments to defend her mother, and clarify a few things…and honestly it seems like this reignited beef is a little deeper than we may know. Get into Bran’s post below.
