Usher has been grinding for the past couple of years with his sold-out Las Vegas residency, but now the R&B King is ready to finally unleash his new music.
The album which was previously believed to be called ‘Confessions II’ has now scraped that title, and is readying a release before the end of the year according to the ‘Yeah’ singer.
Usher visited Big Boy on Monday and dished on that as well as the 20th anniversary of ‘Confessions’ that is coming up next year.
He confirmed that his new single ‘Glu’ is the first taste of what’s to come, but says that the album will be something special for his fans who have been waiting on the project for quite some time now.
“I’m getting ready to launch my next album”
“We’re working on something really, really incredible. It’s going to be an amazing piece of history in my mind. Every album, I’m trying to create something that I think is for that moment. I ain’t really thinking about the past. I am mindful of it, but want to create something that I feel is connected.”
He also dished on fatherhood, the success of his residency, his ‘Lovers & Friends’ festival, teases a possible Verzuz or Verzuz-like event with Chris Brown, and more. He also dished on the time he accidentally bumped into Michael Jackson on stage.
