Brandy took center court today at the 2026 NBA All-Star Game at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, where she performed the U.S. National Anthem ahead of tip-off.
Backed by members of the girl group, June’s Diary, the Grammy-winning singer delivered a stylized rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner,” incorporating layered harmonies and controlled vocal runs that have long been part of her signature sound.
As expected, social media quickly reacted. Many praised the performance for its creativity and vocal strength, while others expressed preference for a more traditional interpretation. Regardless of differing opinions, the performance sparked conversation and added star power to the league’s marquee weekend.
The appearance comes on the heels of a major string of wins for Brandy, including being honored during Grammy weekend and wrapping The Boy Is Mine tour in December. She’s also kicking off her book tour for her new memoir in a matter of weeks, as we previously reported.
Her NBA All-Star performance marks another high-profile moment in an already active season for the veteran artist.
