Remember the 2009 collaboration from Beyonce and Alicia Keys titled “Put It In a Love Song”? The single appeared on Alicia’s The Element of Freedom album and a video was filmed and set for release.
We saw pics and teasers surface online with no premiere date in sight, then nothing. The video never arrived and we never heard anymore about it. Well now Keys has finally opened up on the reason why the video was scrapped and says we may see it end up on Tidal as an exclusive one day.
In a recent interview with Rap Radar’s podcast, she opened up on the fate of the visual.
“We had a ball in the studio, we had a ball doing the video, which was crazy in Brazil, it was outrageous, you saw pictures,” said Alicia. “But you know it just didn’t quite, the video didn’t quite capture the energy that I think that we really intended it to and we just felt like it was better to just hold it, so we did that…Maybe one day it will be like some old secret…I’ll put it on Tidal.”
