A few weeks ago fans of ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ were livid after the unveiling of the season 7 promo shot above as well as the trailer showing that Porsha Williams was demoted from main housewife to a “supporting role” which was later confirmed by Porsha.
Many began speculating the cause of her demotion, as her full time role was replaced by newcomer Claudia Jordan. Many believed it was a delayed reaction to last seasons infamous reunion brawl between Porsha and Kenya Moore, while many (us included) assumed that maybe it was due strictly to Porsha’s role or story line this coming season.
Despite her being added as a full time co-host to Dish Nation and other gigs, perhaps her story line was not as entertaining as producers had hoped for. It appears that this may be the case, according to Bravo’s Andy Cohen who addressed the demotion via Twitter.
After being bombarded with tweets over the past few weeks, the ‘Watch What Happens Live’ host took to Twitter to address some of those fans and their thoughts of Porsha’s downgrade.
The decision “had nothing to do with reunion,” Andy informed one of his Twitter followers. “Was based on this season.” and he later confirmed that for those assuming her downgrade is similar to her being fired he assures them it is not. Peep his exchanges below.
