BET Awards Nominations: Lil Kim, Nicki Minaj, Remy Ma, Missy Elliott Lead 'Best Female Hip Hop' Category

It’s that time of the year again, time for the BET Awards 2016 and the official nominees announcements are surfacing and it looks like it will be a year of stiff competition. The show isn’t set to air until Sunday, June 26 but we now are getting word of who will be in the building.

In the highly controversial ‘Best Female Hip Hop Artist’ category, some of Hip Hop’s leading ladies will duke it out for the title of queen of hip hop. The network took to its Instagram on Thursday evening, May 19 to announce the nominees which include: Lil’ Kim, Nicki Minaj, Missy Elliott, Dej Loaf and Remy Ma.
