Beyoncé has already donated heavily to her hometown of Houston, TX following the horrific Hurricane Harvey last week, and now the singer joins a star-studded lineup for the upcoming fundraising telethon, “Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Harvey Relief.”
The news was announced on Tuesday (Sep.5) just a day after she celebrated her 36th birthday. According to reports, Jamie Foxx, Kelly Rowland, Oprah Winfrey, Julia Roberts, George Clooney, Barbra Streisand, and Reese Witherspoon have also signed up to be part of the one-hour televised event, which will air Sept. 12 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CMT, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook.
Proceeds to assist victims will be provided to charities such as United Way of Greater Houston, Habitat for Humanity, Save the Children, Direct Relief, Feeding Texas, and The Mayor’s Fund for Hurricane Harvey Relief.
