Crews 
Disney brought some serious royalty together Thursday night, and for longtime fans, the lineup was nothing short of magical.
Brandy, Halle Bailey, Anika Noni Rose, Lea Salonga, Jodi Benson, Auli‘i Cravalho and several other stars from across Disney Princess history took the stage Thursday, August 13, at Disney California Adventure Park in Anaheim for Disney Princess: The Ultimate Concert Celebration. The event was held as part of D23 Day at Disneyland Resort ahead of this weekend’s D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.
The concert brought together performers representing generations of Disney princesses across animated classics, live-action films, Broadway and television.
One of the night’s biggest moments came courtesy of Brandy, who opened her portion of the show with “A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes.” Nearly 30 years after making history as Cinderella in the beloved 1997 Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella, Brandy once again stepped into the Disney Princess spotlight for the special performance.
Brandy later returned to the stage alongside Disney Legend Lea Salonga, the original singing voice of Jasmine in Aladdin and Mulan in Mulan. The two joined forces for “A Whole New World,” while Salonga also delivered a solo performance of “Reflection.”
The princess reunion didn’t stop there.
Jodi Benson, the original voice of Ariel in Disney’s 1989 animated The Little Mermaid, joined Halle Bailey, who brought Ariel to life in Disney’s 2023 live-action adaptation, for a special performance of “Part of Your World.”
Fans also saw two generations of Moana come together as Auli‘i Cravalho, the voice of Moana in the animated films, performed with Catherine Laga’aia, who stars as Moana in Disney’s 2026 live-action film. The pair performed “Along the Way.”
Meanwhile, Anika Noni Rose reminded everyone exactly why Tiana remains one of Disney’s most beloved princesses, taking the stage to perform “Almost There” from The Princess and the Frog.
Additional highlights included Judy Kuhn, the original singing voice of Pocahontas, performing “Colors of the Wind,” while Paige O’Hara, the original animated voice of Belle, and Susan Egan, Broadway’s original Belle, teamed up for performances of “Belle Reprise” and “Something There.”
The evening ultimately brought the entire group together for a grand finale performance of “When You Wish Upon a Star.”
Disney describes the special as the largest gathering of Disney Princess talent ever assembled, incorporating music from animation, live-action and stage productions alongside large-scale lighting, projections and fountains throughout Disney California Adventure.
For Brandy fans in particular, the performance arrives during another major full-circle era for the singer and actress. She recently returned as Queen Cinderella in Descendants: Wicked Wonderland, continuing a character she first portrayed at just 16 years old alongside the late Whitney Houston in the groundbreaking 1997 television movie.
And fans who weren’t inside Disneyland Thursday night will get to see it for themselves.
Disney Princess: The Ultimate Concert Celebration airs Sunday, August 16 at 8/7c on ABC and begins streaming the same day on Disney+.
