Mary J. Blige may be helping to usher in a new generation of talent as we previously told you HERE, but that hasn’t stopped her from keeping her own new music pumping.
Just weeks after releasing her latest single ‘Still Believe In Love’ to radio, the single has just hit No. 1 on Billboard.
The single which features Vado advances to No. 1 in its ninth week on the Adult R&B Airplay chart and bumped Usher’s “Good Good” featuring Summer Walker and 21 Savage to No. 2 after leading last week.
Usher’s track had previously held the top spot for five non-consecutive weeks before being bumped by MJB. Mary’s no stranger to being No.1 on this chart as ‘Still Believe In Love’ marks the eighth she’s secured the top spot on that respective chart.
According to Rated RnB, Blige has the third-highest number of chart-topping hits among women. Alicia Keys has the most with 14, followed by Toni Braxton with 11.
However, Blige holds the record for the most top 10 hits among all artists with 26 to her credit.
The Queen of Hip Hop Soul took to social media on Wednesday to celebrate the new No.1 hit.
