Fans of ‘Scandal’ and Shonda Rhimes‘ newest hit series ‘How To Get Away with Murder’ are on the edge of their seats waiting until January for both shows to return from their winter breaks. Both left fans stunned with cliffhangers and revelations that will be explored upon their return.
The ‘Scandal’ cast posted some photos recently of them filming, for the upcoming remainder of the season and today comes word of some cast development going on over at its sister show. Following a surprise role from Lynn Whitfield toward the end of ‘HTGAWM’s mid season, now Legendary actress Cicely Tyson is reported to join the fold in a mystery capacity. According to Entertainment Weekly:
Cicely Tyson has landed a guest-starring role on How to Get Away with Murder, EW has learned.
The actress, who co-starred alongside Murder star Viola Davis in The Help, will appear in at least one episode during the freshman season, though details on her role are being kept under lock and key—which means it’s time for you to hit the comments with your best guesses on who she’s playing.
Tyson joins the previously announced Marcia Gay Harden as guest-stars on the second half of Murder’s first season. How to Get Away with Murder returns Thursday, Jan. 29 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
