Since joining the cast of Family Therapy on VH1, music mogul Dame Dash has been opening up more and more about the loss of the love of his life, Aaliyah. Following his admission on the show where he revealed that losing her has made him a monster and he’s lost his empathy for others, he now is giving detail about the singers last moments.

Dame appeared on The Real earlier today Tuesday, April 19 and says that he feels if he stayed with Aaliyah during that fateful plane ride in 2001, she would still be alive today.

As you may remember, Aaliyah and her crew passed away August 25th,2001 as they were traveling from the Bahamas after recording the music video for her hit song “Rock The Boat.”

Dame explains “There’s no chance if I was there, we would’ve been on that plane.” He goes on to claim that he and his late girlfriend were both in Miami at the same time and Aaliyah even told him that she didn’t trust the plane that ultimately took her life. Dame had to fly to New York to go to court for his son and was unable to take that flight with baby girl.
