It’s been fourteen years since R&B crooner D’Angelo released his last album ‘Voodoo’ and fans of the singer have been longing for new material, well this weekend their prayers were answered.
The singer surprised everyone when he announced that he would be dropping a new album ‘Black Messiah’ on Monday December 15. A quick album trailer was released just days ago and now comes the first taste of the new set via the single ‘Sugah Daddy’.The song reportedly debuted as part of Red Bull’s 20 Before 15 series, and was first played live on D’Angelo’s 2012 tour. In addition to ‘Sugah Daddy’ the album’s official lead single “Really Live” is set to hit radio on Monday according to Singersroom.
Not only is he dropping the surprise album, the singer is also set to hit the road in 2015 for his ‘Second Coming Tour’ in support of the album. Check out the album teaser, track list and single below.
