With hip hop lovers there is always the classic debate of which albums rank higher for an artist and at the top of that debate is always Jay-Z. In honor of his 44th birthday yesterday(Dec 4) the great HOV took to his website to get in on the long standing debate and rank his own solo albums along with brief commentary beside each title.
As many of fans declare, his first album 1996’s ‘Reasonable Doubt’ takes his top spot followed by 2001’s ‘The Blueprint’ with 2003’s ‘The Black Album’ rounding out the top 3. On the later of the list fans will find his ‘Vol. 3…Life And Times of S. Carter’, ‘Blueprint 2’, and the bottom spot is occupied by his ‘Kingdom Come’ album.
Peep the full ranking below, do you agree with his order?? I surely see some changes that could be made IMO.
1. Reasonable Doubt (Classic)
2. The Blueprint (Classic)
3. The Black Album (Classic)
4. Vol. 2 (Classic)
