Falynn Guobadia is breaking her silence following all the drama that has gone down the past 24 hours as it relates to her now estranged husband, Simon Guobadia, her former ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta‘ co-star, Porsha Williams, and the news of their engagement.
Following Porsha confirming on Monday that she and Simon are officially together, and Simon co-signing on Tuesday and sharing that he and Porsha are engaged, now Falynn has taken to social media to address it.
Despite claims that Simon and Falynn have finalized their divorce, it is now being reported that it is not actually finalized though they have reached a settlement last month, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE.
Falynn took to her Instagram on Tuesday evening to issue the following statement:
Simon, 56, and Falynn, 31, who wed in June 2019, announced they were divorcing on April 22 on their respective social media pages.
“After two years of marriage and 5 years of friendship, Simon and I have made the difficult decision to go our separate ways,” Falynn wrote on her Instagram Story at the time.
“We are deeply thankful for the impact we have made in each other’s lives, as well as the bonds formed with each other’s children. This mutual decision was not made lightly,” she continued. “And despite our current willingness to be transparent, we only ask our friends and supporters to be respectful of our privacy as our family gets through this very difficult period.”
On his Instagram Story that day, Simon wrote, “After a year and a half together, Falynn and I have made the mutual decision to end our marriage. Despite our willingness to be transparent, we respectfully ask for privacy at this time. Thank you.”
The news of Porsha and Simon’s engagement came as a major shock to fans of RHOA as Falynn was introduced on the show not as an official cast member, but as a “friend” of Porsha’s earlier this season. However, Porsha made it very clear on Monday night with her post that she and Falynn were NOT friends.
