Just a few weeks shy of its 20th anniversary, Aaliyah‘s long-awaited third and final album, the self-titled ‘Aaliyah‘ has officially come to streamers on Friday.
The 15 song set which was originally released on July 7, 2001 (just a month before her untimely death) spawned three hit singles ‘We Need a Resolution,’ ‘Rock the Boat,’ and ‘More Than a Woman,’ and instantly became a fan fave of her three album releases.
As fans know, the album’s digital release is long-overdue and is part of the new rollout of her catalog and the entire Blackground Records catalog as part of their new deal with EMPIRE as the label relaunches as Blackground 2.0.
