It’s officially here! After kicking off her tour with a bang this week and an alleged track list and cover leaking, Janet Jackson has confirmed that the final finished artwork at list for her upcoming album as well as its release date.
The icon took to social media early Thursday morning (Sep 3) to share the announcement directly from her lips.

Janet Jacksonâs Rhythm Nation record label and its distribution partner BMG have set an October 2, 2015 date for the wide release of the superstarâs first studio album in seven years, âUnbreakable.â Pre-orders on iTunes commence September 3.
The initial single release, âNo Sleeep,â raced to #1 on Billboardâs Adult R&B chart and has returned to that position this week for both Urban AC and Adult R&B Charts. The album and single constitute a historic re-teaming of the iconic performer, now a holder of 46 record chartings with producer/songwriter superstars Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. The âUnbreakableâ release comes on the 30th anniversary of their groundbreaking collaboration on her âControlâ album.
Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, commenting on the development, observed, âItâs wonderful to be creating again with Janet.
