In an attempt to brag about her son who was taking boxing classes, Madonna quickly has made herself the target for some major backlash this Friday evening. The singer posted the following picture below, originally with the caption:

Madge’s IG followers did not take too kindly to her using the N-word, even as a gesture toward her son. After being blasted with a slew of comments trashing her for using the words and comments like she was an old lady trying to be hip, Madge quickly deleted the photo only to re-post it minutes later with a new caption:
Ok let me start this again. #get off of my dick haters!
Update: Hours after sending her followers into a frenzy, Madonna issued a formal apology, peep her explanation below:
“I am sorry if I offended anyone with my use of the N-word on Instagram.
There’s no way to defend the use of the word. It was all about intention…It was used as a term of endearment toward my son who is white. I appreciate that it’s a provocative word and I apologize if it gave people the wrong impression. Forgive me.”
