Last night BET concluded its highly anticipated ‘The New Edition Story‘ three night miniseries and following that came the album release of 3/6 of the supergroups trio Bell Biv Devoe.
The guys used the marketing and pandemonium from the film to propel their new album which dropped at midnight right after the finale aired, right into the top of iTunes charts.
Not only that, other albums from New Edition blasted right into the top 10 as expected, including two of their Hits collection projects and their 1984 smash album, ‘NE Heartbreak.’
The group also saw several of their respective solo albums propel as well. Ratings for the first episode of the miniseries arrived proving the biopic was a mega success for the network and the group. Night two and three ratings are on the way, and we will have those in shortly and I am more than willing to bet that they are even higher than premiere night.
