If you’re a resident of the DMV who was lucky enough to score the exclusive tickets to the 2013 National Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony that will take place this Friday December 6 at 4:30PM you are in for a treat! Making her rounds for the tree lighting ceremonies in a handful of cities Mariah Carey took to her Facebook this week to announce that she has been confirmed for the star studded lineup to appear with The Obama’s as they head up the annual outdoor festivities taking place on the White House grounds.
Other performers set to appear are Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin, Janelle Monae, Joshua Bell, Train and others. If you weren’t one of the lucky few who won tickets through a lottery, you can still view the ceremony online and get more details through the official website for the National Christmas Tree Lighting.
