Even in 2016 the King of Pop, Michael Jackson is making moves as if he was still here with us. According to new reports the singer’s debut solo album “Off The Wall” is being re-released but this time it has some an added bonus.

Director Spike Lee has been working on a titled documentary titled Michael Jackson’s Journey from Motown to Off the Wall for the past few years. The film dives into the journey of Jackson’s days in The Jackson 5 as a child phenom to the release of first non-Motown LP Off The Wall, which (arguably) catapulted him into the stratosphere of superstardom.
The doc features interviews with the Weeknd, Questlove, Misty Copeland, Pharrell, Kobe Bryant, Lee Daniels, Mark Ronson, John Legend, Mariah Carey, L.A. Reid, and Jackson’s parents, Katherine and Joe.
Journey from Motown (which is co-produced by the executors of MJ’s estate, John Branca and John McClain) will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 24, and air on Showtime on February 5.
Physical copies of MJ’s classic LP will get the re-issue treatment on February 26, the same day director Spike Lee’s documentary will be available for DVD purchase, bundled together as a bundle set.
Since it’s 1979 release, Off The Wall has sold more than 20 million copies worldwide.
