So the plot thickens, as Mo’Nique continues her campaign to clear her name and reputation after the firestorm that is “blackball-gate”. During a visit to The RCMS on V1o3, along with her husband/manager Sidney Hicks, the actress opened up on all the drama that has gone down over her comments regarding being blackballed, her issues with Lee Daniels and more.
Mo’Nique came out last week and revealed that she was offered roles on ‘Empire’ before the show aired, as well as the movie ‘The Butler’ which studio execs later denied and said Mo’Nique was never considered for those movies.Well Mo’Nique sets the record straight on that and says the exec who made that statement is siding with Lee Daniels and has no clue of the communication she had regarding being offered the role of Cookie on ‘Empire’ and the role of Gloria in ‘The Butler’.
In an interesting revelation she revealed that Lee Daniels is just doing to her what he has done to his other “friends” including Halle Berry. She revealed that Daniels previously called Halle Berry a bitch and she says she now sees why the way he works. Get into all the tea that is spilled below.
