Birdman is finally speaking out against all the accusations and rumors that have been swirling about him the past few weeks and months.
Earlier this year his protege and self proclaimed “son” Lil Wayne revealed that there was tension between the two and that he had plans to leave the label which he helped anchor to the top of the charts and he planned to take his artists Nicki Minaj and Drake with him.
Since then there has been a lawsuit filed by Wayne against Birdman and the label for $51 million, Birdman reportedly threw a drink on Wayne during a recent performance as he watched from a an above balcony.
Now Birdman is addressing all the accusations as he spent 48 hours with Angie Martinez for an exclusive interview to finally open up on the drama.
In the interview he challenges Wayne’s threats to take the artists he brought to the label — “Nicki and Drake ain’t goin’ nowhere, regardless,” he claps back.
He finally gives his thoughts on the feud between he and Wayne as well.
“That was shocking to everybody,” “We never thought [Wayne] would be saying nothing negative about me ever in no lifetime. I never thought that could ever happen—for that man to open his mouth and say something negative about me. Sh*t f**ked my day up. I love my son. He mean the world to me. For that man to say something negative about me, that affected my life.”
