We just showed you the photos of the almost complete Fresh Prince of Bel Air reunion that took place at the memorial service for James Avery (Uncle Phil). Painfully absent from those shots was the star himself Will Smith and Janet Hubert the original Aunt Viv.
Fans will remember that Janet abruptly left the show and was later replaced by Daphne Reid. Janet was “trashed” in the media after speculation and insinuation that she was let go from the show for being a diva and other outrageous antics. It was well documented that she and Will Smith did not get along behind the scenes and that later was exposed after she was left.
Janet went on various outlets defending herself and saying that producers and NBC favored Will and she has even called him an ego maniac, jerk and other names. Well we dug up an interesting and rare interview with Janet from 2013 where she talked about the tension on set and why she ultimately left and whether or not she would ever reunite with the cast.
