Last week during a visit to Toronto, Mike Tyson had a flashback to the old days when he was infamous for telling reporters and the media all about themselves and for one unlucky host he got a taste of that.
According to NY Post:Â Mike Tyson directed an expletive-filled rant at a Canadian television anchor in a live interview Wednesday [September 10] after the host brought up the former heavyweight championâs conviction for sexual assault.
CP24 news anchor Nathan Downer asked Tyson about his meeting with Torontoâs scandal-plagued Mayor Rob Ford, who recently returned to work after a rehab stint. Ford is seeking re-election.
Mike’s response to the anchor was classic and arguably well deserved. Check out the clip below but be aware of the strong language.
NY Post also revealed that in a tweet after the incident, Downer said it was unfortunate that his question hurt Tysonâs feelings and that that wasnât his intention.
âIâm okay everybody,â Downer tweeted.
Downer apologized for the language and followed that up with another tweet.
âNo ill will toward Mike Tyson. He lashed out at me and thatâs okay. Not taking it personally.â
