Drake and Rihanna have been getting really serious with their off and on again romance over the past few weeks, and now the rapper is allegedly revealing more details about their relationship in his new song ‘Days In The East’ which just dropped today.
In the song, Drizzy makes some not so subtle references to his lady love Riri in a few lines and even talks about him warning her to move on from past lover and his one time enemy Chris Brown:
“Told you about giving him chances and chances and chances/He’s not holding you down, he’s holding you back right now,”
Ain’t the first time cause I’ve lost you before
Had to get it back, had to get it back
Had to pull it back because I know I’m on the road
Had to take you back because I know you’re down to roll
If you can get it from me, you can have it, now you know
All your friends asking where you stand with the boy
Drake also recounts some relationship advice he received during a heart to heart with soul singer Erykah Badu:
Remember one night I went to Erykah Badu house, she made tea for me
We talked about love and what life could really be for me
She said, “when that sh*t is real, you just know”
And I was thinking bout you, you already know
Drake also makes a reference to waking up by “her”side in Amsterdam, very fitting see that Rihanna followed Drake to Amsterdam back in early March while he was on tour. Check out the ode to Rihanna below.
