We showed you the clip of Nicki Minaj as she broke down last week during her interview with Angie Martinez while discussing her breakup with longtime boyfriend Safaree Samuels, and now we have the full interview.
During her sit down, Nicki dished on how she and Beyonce‘s collaborations came about and revealed that Bey reached out to her and whether they actually have a friendship outside of collaborating.
Dishing on the album, she revealed that she initially wanted 21 songs on the album to include ‘Looking A$$….” but that she battled with her label who wanted her to put less song on the final cut.
On dating rumors she addressed her alleged fling with August Alsina but she revealed there is no truth to that and that she considers him a “cute baby” he is too young for her. She also says despite their chemistry and flirting there will never be a relationship between she and Drake.
The dating talk segwayed into the conversation about Safaree and Nicki got emotional which prompted Angie to take a break for her to compose herself. Nicki explained that despite her tears and feeling like she misses him and can’t function without him at times, she is a lot happier after their split.
She also compared their relationship to a drug addiction and says that she is glad to have gotten out of that before they had children but says that if she wasn’t in the music industry they would still be together, married with kids.
