Not So Fast: Chance The Rapper Says He DOES NOT Support Donald Trump But Does Kanye West, Apologizes For His Misleading Tweet "I'd Never Support Anyone Who Has Made a Career Out of Hatred, Racism and Discrimination"

Chance The Rapper wants you to know, he DOES NOT support Donald Trump whatsoever and that his controversial tweets yesterday were not a sign of support for the President, but for his “family” Kanye West, who is being ripped to shreds by fans for his supportive tweets for Trump this week.

Chance the Rapper rejected a “thank you” from President Donald Trump on Friday and explained that he supported Kanye West, who is under fire for expressing affection for the President, because the Chicago rapper is “family” — not because he agrees with his views.

“Kanye West has performed a great service to the Black Community – Big things are happening and eyes are being opened for the first time in Decades – Legacy Stuff! Thank you also to Chance and Dr. Darrell Scott, they really get it (lowest Black & Hispanic unemployment in history),” Trump tweeted Friday morning, reveling once again in the support he received from the hip-hop mogul.

Chance took to Twitter following Kanye’s tweets in support of Trump stating “Black people don’t have to be democrats,” which immediately ensued backlash on his end as well. Following Trump’s “thank you” to Chance, he clarified on Friday that his tweet was in no way a sign of support for Trump and apologized for the misconception.

“I’d never support anyone who has made a career out of hatred, racism and discrimination,” Chance tweeted Friday.
