So it looks like the friendship between Iggy Azalea and Britney Spears might be very short lived, even more short lived than the success their current single ‘Pretty Girls’ has seen at least according to Iggy.
The rapper held a Twitter Q&A session this week where she allowed her fans and Twitter followers to ask her anything. The rapstress selected a few lucky questions, and one of those was an inquiry on “Pretty Girls” the song which serves as the first single from Britney Spears’ new album and features Iggy.
The fan mentioned the lack of impact the song was making on charts and radio and even referred to it as a flop, which prompted Iggy to respond and seemingly place the blame on Britney.
Iggy’s tweet caught the attention of music blog, The Pop Zone who later tweeted a link to an article they posted, calling her out on her comments about Britney. In true Iggy fashion she responded.
Well Britney must have heard about the “shade” and she decided to send a subliminal yet super shady tweet of her own.
For those not familiar, Iggy recently cancelled her long delayed ‘The Great Escape’ tour after major setbacks and reported low ticket sales. If Brit’s tweet was aimed at Iggy (which we know it was) she definitely won that battle!
