Summer is upon us and that means NBC’s ‘Today’ show summer concert series is set to kick off. As with every year the “Toyota Concert Series on Today” will air live from Rockerfeller Plaza every Friday morning with some of music’s biggest and brightest taking the stage.
This summer’s official roster has been released, and set to kick it off in true grand diva style is none other than Mariah Carey on May 16, just days before her new album is set for release.
Then June 5, Pharrell Williams will bring his ‘Happy’ energy to the stage and rock the house. Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson will also keep the party going through July and August to help promote their respective projects which are due around the same time.
Closing out the summer will be none other than Usher, who is expected to be releasing his first single from his new album in a matter of weeks. Considering the date of his performance it is safe to assume his appearance will coincide with a late summer/early fall album release which has not yet been announced.
