Porsha Williams is firing back at R&B singer Teyana Taylor after being called out by the ‘G.O.O.D. Music’ artist this week over claims of stealing the idea for a t-shirt line.
This week Porsha announced the February 8 debut of her first t-shirt line, which reads: “#unbothered.”According to Teyana, she has been developing a clothing line by the same name for at least the past month. Teyana also claimed Porsha was fully aware of the t-shirt line because she follows Teyana, who has been promoting her line via social media for the past few weeks.
When Teyana received word of Porsha’s announcement, she was wasted no time confronting the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star.
“No it will not be coming out because unbothered is my clothing line, legally as well & u follow me so I’m sure you know what it is. So you should take this down,” Taylor wrote beneath the photo of Williams’ shirt.
Teyana’s has been posting over the past few weeks promoting her line prior to Porsha’s announcement.
Well Porsha did not remove her photos and plans to press forward with the release of her shirts and clapped back at Teyana this week on her gig at ‘Dish Nation’ and addressed the matter on her website:
Williams confirmed that she does follow Teyana —hereafter referred to as “Tatiana” by Williams — on Twitter, along with many other individuals in entertainment.
“I really don’t have a problem with her having a clothing line named ‘Unbothered’ because my t-shirt is just a t-shirt line,” said Porsha.
But, of course that’s not the end of that. (For the record, though, had Teyana — aka Tatiana—consulted Williams, Porsha would have been happy to change the wording. But, of course, that didn’t happen, so the story continues.)
Porsha goes on to say that she wishes Taylor had consulted with her legal team, who would have advised her that she can’t trademark the name ‘unbothered.’
Hit the 4:12 mark below to hear what Porsha had to say about the matter and peep her fresh response just posted to her Instagram where she checks Teyana.
Well that didn’t take long, check out Teyana’s response below.
