Nicki Minaj sent her fans into a frenzy this weekend during a performance of her Pinkprint tour when she referred to her current boo Meek Mill as her “baby father”.
Many began speculating and running stories that Nicki is with child and used the moment to tell the world her big news but according to reports, she is not expecting a little barb anytime soon. Via TMZ:
Minaj seemed to say Saturday in Pittsburgh she was having Meek’s baby … referring to Mill as her “baby father.”
Sources close to Nicki say she uses the phrase “baby father” frequently – at least twice on this tour, but it’s not the same as “father of my child.” It’s just a term of endearment for those she likes. She’s even referred to Lil Wayne as her baby daddy in the past, even though they’re just friends.
We’re told Minaj and Meek feel they’re in it for the long haul and want kids … but there will be a wedding before they’re picking out baby names.
Nicki even partook in the “pregnancy” speculation fun by retweeting multiple fan reactions to her “baby father” comment, replying with just a series of laugh-crying emojis. So looks like it was all in good fun.
