Just a few months ago, Remy Ma announced that her new manager was Vincent Herbert. The news came right around the time that Vince and estranged wife, Tamar Braxton, were having their pending divorce drama play out on their reality show and in the blogs.

The timing seemed a bit odd, to me at least, that Rem would hire Vince as the person to steer her career. Well now according to fresh reports from TMZ, Rem has let go of Vince exactly for those very reasons.

Sources tell us Remy fired her recently-hired manager, Vincent Herbert, when she felt he was spending more time repairing his relationship with Tamar, than furthering Remy’s career. We’re told he came up short on promises of being a “super manager” for Remy.

We’re told Remy’s complaints include Vincent dropping the ball on basic manager duties like booking studio time, and scheduling performances. On the other hand, Remy wanted no part of Vincent’s family drama — Tamar filing for divorce and a baby mama allegation — and our sources say that stuff was his focus.

Short story long … Vincent’s out.

The past few months have proved to be beneficial for Rem as she scored a multi-million dollar record deal, is completing her album which is due this year, and she dropped two singles ‘Wake Me Up’ and ‘Pretty Brown.’

She also opened her own boutique ‘Conceited’ in Charlotte, NC and has continued booking shows, and making other moves. Not sure how much of a part Vince played in these moves, but she certainly needs someone who will keep the train rolling and the momentum going.
