After years of speculation that a joint album was in the works from Jay-Z and his better half, Beyonce, now the Hip Hop titan has officially confirmed that it is indeed coming to fruition.

The Grammy winning artist who just received 8 new nods yesterday, revealed the news in an exclusive interview with NY Times.

“We were using our art almost like a therapy session. And we started making music together. And then the music she was making at that time was further along. So her album [‘Lemonade’] came out as opposed to the joint album that we were working on. There was never a point where it was like, ‘I’m making this album.’ I was right there the entire time … It just felt like, she should go first and share her truths with the world.”

No word on when fans can expect to see the project to see the light of day, but with his own ‘4:44 Tour’ on the road now, we expect the buzz will serve as a lead off for the collaborative project and it will arrive sooner rather than later.
