We told you just days ago that Beyonce was in talks to join the cast of The Wiz for their planned live musical set to air in December. Bey was reportedly being eyed for the role of Glinda The Good Witch, but now apparently the deal may not happen after all due to Bey not being interested. According to EW:
Multiple outlets are reporting that Queen B could play Glinda the Good Witch.
Our sources say Beyoncé has actually passed twice on playing Glinda. But there’s always a chance that NBC might circle back with another offer. Until the Glinda role is filled, anything’s possible. But as of now, Beyoncé is not frolicking with Munchkins in December.
On Tuesday, EW exclusively broke that Queen Latifah and Mary J. Blige were joining the live production to play The Wiz and the Wicked Witch of the West, respectively.
