“Real Housewives of Atlanta” season 8 is set to be the most talked about and possibly most viewed season ever! Despite the fact that its long time queen bee Nene Leakes has departed the show has brought back and brought in some faces that will completely reshape the show and possibly make us say Nene who?
Following confirmation that Sheree Whitfield and Marlo Hampton have finalized their contracts it looks as though RHOA is taking a page from Mona Scott Young and “Love & Hip Hop Hollywood” as they have now welcomed the LGBT community as one of the main cast members. According to TMZ:
Producers of “TheReal Housewives of Atlanta” have figured out a way to fill the shoes NeNe Leakes … and it starts with the first transgender on the show.
TMZ has learned … Amiyah Scott will join the cast next season. Amiyah is a model who was born Arthur and began her transformation 10 years ago when she was 17.
Amiyah has been romantically linked to a number of rappers.
The show is also adding Kim Fields from “Facts of Life.”

That’s not all, it appears that Claudia Jordan and Demetria McKinney will also appear on season 8 but only as “Friends of the Housewives” according to LALATE.
LALATE can report that Claudia and Demetria have been invited by Kenya Moore for tonight’s filming of her Kenya Moore Haircare line launch party. The three women posed for a picture over the weekend, that was shared by Claudia but not by Kenya. LALATE has been exclusively reporting all year long the Claudia and Demetria will appear on RHOA8, not as full “housewives”, but in some appearances during the season run.

BravoTV has currently captured about 3-4 episodes of footage. Episode one is believed to be about Peter’s alleged cheating and tensions with Cynthia. Episode two and three are believed to be about Marlo and Sheree’s return (as a cliffhanger). Episode four is believed to be about Kenya Moore’s haircare line launch, and cast tensions following a beef between Porsha vs. Cynthia, Porsha vs. Marlo, and Kenya vs. Sheree.
Bravo has not confirmed any of these reports of Amiyah being a full time cast member or a friend of the show so we are taking this report with a grain of salt until further details are provided. In fact the network has been tight lipped about most of the reports of cast changes other than that of Sheree and Marlo returning but we will remain on RHOA watch. It is certainly shaping up to be an interesting season.
