R&B singer Sparkle made her public return to world via the Lifetime docuseries ‘Surviving R. Kelly‘ where she dished on her personal and professional relationship with the singer who was her musical mentor and debuted her to the world.
As documented in the series, Sparkle’s niece is the young lady who appeared in the infamous R. Kelly sex tape (while she was underage at the time). Sparkle’s courage to come forward and tell her story and champion alongside the women who were reported victims of Kels, has also sparked her musical flame.
The singer has released a new women’s anthem titled ‘We Are Ready‘ and the song serves as the empowerment song dedicated to women who have fought and survived abuse, whether it be domestic, physical or sexual. Viewers were able to hear a sample of the track at the end of the final episode of the series, but can now get into the full track. This is her first single in six years, get in below.
