After over 10 years since its original hit theaters and grossed over $11.5 million in its opening week, T.I. has announced the ATL sequel is coming. It has been rumored for some time that the film was in the works but Wednesday [March 4] TIP took to Instagram with confirmation.
He posted a photo of him with director Chris Robinson and co-stars Jackie Long, Albert Daniels, and Jason Weaver along with the caption “#ATL2 Get Ready,”
Robinson also shared the snap with the same sentiments“#ATL WAS A CLASSIC #ATL2 WILL BE LEGENDARY!!!”“‘AND SO IT BEGINS’ THE CREW @troubleman31 @jackielong @albeback @itsjasonweaver #RITF #BONG.”
No word on whether Big Boi of OutKast, Evan Ross, Lauren London or any of the films other stars will reprise their roles for the sequel. No word on release date, premise or a trailer for the sequel yet but we will keep you updated.
