Days ago, TMZ cameras caught up with Evelyn Braxton right after the news broke that Tamar Braxton had filed for divorce from Vincent Herbert. During her brief interview, Evelyn pleaded on camera for Vince to stop putting his hands on her daughter and revealed that she feared he might kill Tamar.
Well now according to reports, Tamar is not on speaking terms with her mother due to her fueling those domestic abuse rumors, despite the fact that we had already heard such rumors in the past.
Tamar Braxton is refusing to shoot scenes with her own mother, Evelyn, on their long-running WE tv reality show “Braxton Family Values,” because the matriarch spoke out about Tamar’s divorce from her manager and husband, Vincent Herbert.
“Tamar is not speaking to her mother right now after [Evelyn] told [paparazzi] cameras Vince needs to keep his hands off of her. She added fuel to domestic violence rumors,” a source told us.
In March, Tamar publicly shot down rumors of domestic violence on BET.
Evelyn told TMZ on video that she doesn’t want Herbert to “kill my child” when the gossip site accosted her at an airport last week. “Keep his hands off of my child. Stop before he hurts her or kills her,” she said. “I love him, but I don’t want him to kill my child. [It’s] as simple as that . . . I think he needs to go and get counseling. I really and truly do, before someone gets killed.”
A rep for Tamar would not comment. But another insider confirmed that she skipped shooting the show with her family over the weekend.
