Just days ago Kelis announced that she would be releasing a new cookbook in a few weeks as we told you HERE. The news had me feeling nostalgic and breaking out all of Kelis’ albums (even more than usual), starting from “Kaleidoscope” all the way down to last year’s “Food”.
All the albums’s have been in heavy rotation this week, specifically her 2006 fourth studio album “Kelis Was Here” which was led by the banger track “Bossy” (feat. Too Short).
The single peaked at number 16 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, making it her second biggest Hot 100 hit to date. The song had major radio success and the clubs went wild for it, so much so that the single was certified double platinum by the RIAA. on December 11, 2006.
