We received word a few weeks ago that Tweet was set to release her new album but now the singer has confirmed it and opened up on what to expect. During an interview with YouKnowIGotSoul, Tweet confirmed the upcoming project, currently titled Charlene (Her first name) will arrive in January 2016.
“I’m happy to announce that my new album ‘Charlene’ is dropping January 22nd, 2016, and I’m just excited about the whole process. I can’t wait for you guys to hear the new music,” Tweet confirmed about the project which will come via a new partnership with eOne.
“It will be church, Marvin Gaye, quartet and “Southern Hummingbird.” You’ll get to hear “Southern Hummingbird” times two plus a little bit. That’s what “Charlene” is.”
Tweet also confirmed that she has teamed back up with Missy Elliott who launched her career for the new project. The first single is slated to arrive by late July or August.
