Watch: Janelle Monae & M.I.A. Team Up For Hologram Duet

Hologram performances are becoming more and more popular after the amazing 2012 Tupac hologram appearance during Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre‘s st at Coachell. This past Thursday two of music’s hottest females teamed up to get their digital performance game on!

Janelle Monae and rapper M.I.A. debuted their hologram set at Thursday’s Audi’s A3 launch.

The electric lady dazzled masses at Quixote Studios in West Hollywood, while M.I.A. rocked out to a packed crowd at New York’s SIR Stage 37.

During “Bad Girls,” a hologram Janelle spit a new verse alongside M.I.A., while Janelle performed “Q.U.E.E.N.” with a life-size hologram of M.I.A.

“The idea is that we teleport into each other’s show,” said M.I.A. “There’s a show and then it goes beyond the space where you’re performing and the city where you’re performing, so that’s what’s kind of interesting about it.”
