Nene Leakes prides herself on being a “good friend” and she will quickly call out those who she feels aren’t doing a good job at their friend duties, and she also has no problem calling out ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ co-stars for their flaws or faults. Case in point, the reality star stopped by ‘Huffington Post Live’ this week to promote her run on Broadway as the evil stepmother in ‘Cinderella’ and to talk RHOA.
During her interview a fan called into the show to ask Nene if any of the RHOA ladies had come to see Nene since she had previously stated none of them came out to support her.
“As of today, no housewife of Atlanta has been to the ‘Cinderella’ Broadway show” while she’s been in it. Additionally, “none of them have sent a gift.”
“I think I may’ve gotten a text from Phaedra and Portia saying, you know, definitely from Phaedra, saying ‘congrats’ or something like that. All of the different franchises — New Jersey, New York, Orange County — the housewives have been there.”
Nene revealed that Porsha Williams and Phaedra Parks however have texted her to congratulate and indicated they do plan to come out this weekend.
“It doesn’t hurt my feelings,” she said. “I kind of look at it as — I don’t really know any other way to say it other than: the hate is real. The hate is really real. Because you know we have our differences, but I, in some big instance, I would be there to support.”
“If they don’t wanna come it’s fine because I’m killin’ the character,” she added. “I do it to the tee.”
She also mentions that she has attended the other girls events including Kandi Burruss ‘Bedroom Kandi’ launch party, Cynthia Bailey‘s ‘Bailey Agency’ launch, etc. however we must say although she has attended and supported Nene has thrown her own bit of shade, specifically to Kandi regarding her toy line and even downplayed her stage play ‘A Mother’s Love’ and obviously we know that she and Cynthia aren’t on speaking terms as of right now, especially after Nene suggested that she be fired from RHOA. So our question is why would Nene expect any support when hers is circumstantial?
