Although Beyonce didn’t win the big award of the night at Sunday’s 59th Annual Grammy’s, her little sister, Solange had a big win, her first win in fact for her new album, ‘A Seat at the Table.’
It’s been almost 15 years and 3 albums since Solange launched her solo career, and last night she finally took home a Grammy, for Best R&B Performance for her single “Cranes In The Sky“. During her backstage press conference interview, Solange opened up on her win, which she calls a “beautiful honor.”
She talked about the role her mother and sisters support has played, the visual aspect of making an album, and says that although she is grateful for the honor, she feels as though she was a winner long before the Grammy due to way the project has been embraced by fans.
