Tionne ‘T-Boz’ Watkins recently sat down with Bossip to discuss her plans to launch a new female R&B trio and says she wants to take it back to the basics like in the Motown days. Speaking on her wants, T-Boz revealed that the group she is looking to form must be able to sing, and dance but she has no desire to manufacture them or make them a new ‘TLC‘.
The TLC singer also dished on her thoughts on Lifetime’s Aaliyah biopic versus VH1’s biopic on TLC. She says the main difference is that the Aaliyah film did not have the personal touch and details from the family and those that were involved, as the TLC biopic did. She says that she and Chilli participated fully in the creative process and were on set everyday to ensure their story was told properly.
She also dished on the lawsuit threats that came after the airing of the TLC movie from their former manager Perry ‘Pebbles’ Reid and her thoughts on it. Check it out below.
