We told you yesterday that Wendy Williams‘ mother Shirley Williams had reportedly passed over the weekend according to close family friends who revealed the news on social media on Sunday.

On Monday, to the surprise of many, Wendy was live for her morning talk show, and confirmed the news on her mothers passing–and confirmed that it actually happened “many weeks ago” and that she doesn’t exactly remember the date.

My mom passed away many, many, many, many weeks ago..’ 

“You know how you lose track of the day and time? All I know was it was a long time ago. The five of us, my mom, dad, my siblings, the five of us  — she will always be here.”

beautifully and peacefully and surrounded by love. She didn’t suffer, not one bit.”

“Gone is the best mother, the best girlfriend, that a girl could ever have,” 

“I feel fortunate that I had her in my life all of my 56 years.”

Wendy held her composure during the announcement and even after, but we can tell it is bothering her.
