Wendy Williams is finally returning to her purple chair at ‘The Wendy Williams Show‘ on Monday after being on unexpected hiatus from her show for over two months reportedly due to recovery from a fractured shoulder and hospitalization for graves disease.
During that time off, there has been much speculation regarding Wendy’s health, the real reason for her hiatus and the status of her marriage to husband/manager, Kevin Hunter.
Long standing rumors of an ongoing affair between Kevin and a long time mistress were amplified with new reports that the alleged mistress is now pregnant with his child.
Though Wendy has never fully denied the reports regarding her marriage she has proclaimed that the couple is doing just fine. She even had Nick Cannon briefly address the rumors during his time as a guest host on her show in February.
Well now as Wendy prepares to return to the show on Monday (March 4), her former protege and employee, Charlamagne Tha GOD has chimed in on the matter.
The popular host of ‘The Breakfast Club’ who started out as Wendy’s co-host on her
then popular radio show ‘The Wendy Williams Experience’ many years ago, has previously addressed questions surrounding their 2008 separation and suggested that their was more behind her infamous on air fainting in 2018, than what she told viewers.
He has attributed their parting ways solely to Kevin in various interviews and even in his book ‘Black Privilege.’
Although Wendy has not addressed Charlamagne or their falling out directly, she has gone on record saying she doesn’t know him; which obviously confirms the shade between them.
Well in a recent interview with The New York Post, Charlamagne basically confirmed claims that Kevin is physically abusive to Wendy.
“I don’t f–k with Kevin. I think he’s a terrible human being. I will just tell you that I hope Wendy Williams wakes up before one day she doesn’t wake up.”
He even reiterated his statements on air during a recent episode of ‘The Breakfast Club.’
These claims would coincide with those also alleged by Wendy’s own mother in law, Pearlet Hunter who spoke out weeks ago to The Enquirer about seeing her son physically abuse and choke Wendy out.
“I saw Kevin choking out Wendy! Another time, I witnessed him kicking the s–t out of her and pushing her down the stairs.”
These claims would also coincide with reports of turmoil and tension between Wendy staff and Kevin, who serves as Executive Producer of the show. There have been various reports of animosity with Kevin and the staff and reports that staff are happy for Wendy’s return as long as Kevin is no longer part of the package.
Fans have to tune in on Monday to see if Wendy will address all the rumors and face being a real life “Hot Topic.”
