Social media has not been that great to Mariah Carey for some time now. The singer has been caught her fair share of times lately lip syncing, missing notes, etc. at her recent string of concerts and performances.
Well ahead of her Las Vegas residency which kicks off this Spring, a report has surfaced that MC has allegedly banned the use of all cell phones at her show to cut down on the chances of any more viral footage of her not so great performances getting out.
Via CentricTV— “Carey is taking back control of her image. Naughty Gossip reports the singer has banned cell phones from future concerts as a way to cut down on the embarrassing footage.
“Mariah wants to hide the evidence but doesn’t understand how difficult it is to get everyone to hand over their phones,” a source told the site. “She is demanding NO phones at her Vegas show, or she will not perform.”
Even though the diva-ish demand sounds right up Mariah’s alley based on long standing rumors of her diva antics, in today’s day in age there is no way possible that she would be able to ban cell phones every night from a big venue even if she wanted to.
Even if the ban was enforced, there will always be those few that slip through the cracks and get that footage to send over to TMZ. However hopefully things take a better turn vocally for Mariah’s upcoming shows and she won’t need this alleged ban.
