We were so distracted by K. Michelle‘s appearance at The Breakfast Club last week where she slammed co-host Angela Yee, that we missed her appearance on Hot 97 Morning Show.

The singer opened up on why More Issues Than Vogue is her last album, and says she is quitting music because she is tired of “fighting” and being pitted against other black artists. She also reveals that she completed and turned in a full country album to her label but the label did not know how to market it.

She also dished on her return to Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta and struggling with becoming friends with some of her cast mates who think they are artists and one in particular who is trying to get K’s help to get signed.

Elsewhere, she gave props to some of her fellow peers including Ledisi and Brandy who she called “the queen”. Get into the full interview and the singers who she loves at the 12:35 mark.
