So we didn’t get the full original Destiny’s Child reunion that we expected at this past Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards during Beyonce‘s Video Vanguard performance, however today comes new DC news that is sure to excite fans.
During a radio interview with Houston’s own ‘The Roula and Ryan Show’ Mathew Knowles, who despite severing managerial ties to Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams for their solo careers, still is the manger of the ladies collectively, revealed that the ladies may be plotting a new tour.
According to Mathew, the tour which will be a major event obviously, will be a co-headlining soiree with all three ladies performing solo sets as well as Destiny’s Child’s massive catalog. This isn’t Mathew’s first time hinting of a possible tour and possible album according to him. He previously did an interview with Huffington Post in 2012 where he revealed:
“It takes a year of planning to do these tours, but first it starts with the artist wanting to do it. And I think the ladies are still working happily in their solo careers. And I hope in the next five years that there is a reunion tour. I think it would be incredible. The hardest thing would be choosing which songs they’re going to do, because we would want to mix it up with solo hits and Destiny’s Child hits. We would have to throw away some number ones from off the set list”
Well according to his most recent interview this week, the ladies may be ready to strike soon. Of course that is once Kelly gives birth to her first child as she is currently expecting. He remained very coy about confirming other than coughing to suggest that it will happen, so I guess we will have to wait and see.
