There have been rumors that Mariah Carey could be headed to Las Vegas for her first ever residency and it looks like those rumors are panning out to be true. According to Page Six–the ‘Heartbreaker’ singer is about to sign a deal for a residency at Caesars Palace.
It’s still in negotiations, but sources speculate that her residency could be worth more than Britney Spears’ two-year, $30 million contract, and Mariah could hit the Strip before the 2015 holidays.
Once finalized Mariah will join the long list of legendary ladies to have residencies in Vegas, including Cher, Celine Dion, Bette Midler, Spears and Carey’s longtime rumored nemesis Jennifer Lopez who was reportedly offered a whopping $350K per show at The Axis at Planet Hollywood … the same place Britney performed.
Mimi recently wrapped up a mini tour around Asia, “The Elusive Chanteuse Show,” where her performances received mixed reviews.
